Kindness is not Cliche! Here at TWM we believe Kindness should be at the heart of all we do. With that in mind we have created the Kindness Passport. To help educators encourage kindness and the act of giving among students. Psychology Today States:
“Theneuroscience and social science research is clear: kindness changes the brain by the experience of kindness. Children and adolescents do not learn kindness by only thinking about it and talking about it. Kindness best learned by feeling it so that they can reproduce it. Kindness is an emotion that students feel and empathy is a strength that they share.
We will supply the Kindness Passport, the stamp and the selection of gifts.
Educators will stamp the student’s passport when they observe “random acts of kindness"
Once the student receives ten stamps, they bring their passports to TWM where they can “shop” for gifts with the stamps they have earned by displaying kindness.
Students can “shop” every time they receive ten stamps or they can save their stamps and “purchase” multiple gifts at one time i.e. Christmas.
We will partner with local schools to highlight a student each semester that has gone above and beyond in displaying kindness.
